Art with Mrs. Wardell
I am very excited to become part of the art program at Lawton Community Schools. I have the privilege of teaching art at both the high school and middle school levels and am thrilled to bring my enthusiasm for the arts to the community. I recently achieved my Masters in Arts in Education and plan to help develop an enriched art program.
I chose the name the Art Palette for this site for many reasons. Most importantly a palette is used to mix paint, similar to my idea of teaching students art. My ideas are to create a mixture of the arts from it's history, principles and elements, and how the arts are culturally developed. I enjoy helping students discover the arts that surround them in everyday life and most of all the aspects of them discovering themselves.
